Frequently Asked Questions

Întrebări frecvente

What time can I check in and check out? +

Check-in is from 15:00, and check-out is until 11:00. If you need flexibility, message us. We will find a solution.

Is there parking? +

Yes. Free parking is available in the courtyard. The access road is paved all the way to the gate, and you can reach with any car.

Do you offer meals? +

If you let us know in advance, we offer something simple and delicious on arrival, made with local ingredients, on the house.

We do not offer meals during the stay, but the kitchen and barbeque area is available to you at any time. There is also the option to order food from restaurants in the nearest town.

Can I come with my pet? +

Yes, but please bring your pet’s health booklet, with up-to-date vaccinations - especially the rabies vaccine - as well as recent internal and external deworming.

Pets are welcome in the old house (casa veche), where our rescued cats, Rodica and Marcel, also live. However, we cannot accept pets in the guesthouse.

Is the place suitable for children? +

Yes - especially for children who easily befriend nature. They have space to run, discover, observe animals, and spend more time outside than inside. And if playtime still happens indoors, we have many classic games, such as Monopoly, chess, or rummy.

We do not have a kids playground as you see in the cities. Instead, we have hills, grass, forest, a river, and plenty of space for the kind of play we also remember from our own childhood.

We intentionally chose not to have a TV. However, we do have monitors, and on request we can put on movies or cartoons for the little ones, for quieter moments after a long day outside.

What’s there to see nearby? +

We sit on the old gold roads. Roșia Montană - the Roman mines, the galleries, the village itself, now a UNESCO World Heritage site - is close. So are the Detunata peaks, basalt columns visible from kilometers away. The Scărișoara Ice Cave and a nature reserve (Vânătările Ponorului) with caves and waterfalls are also nearby. Summer brings paragliding and rafting too - a few good launch spots in the area and rivers you can run.

We also recommend the Transapuseana - the road that crosses the Southern Apuseni mountains. Stop for coffee and a stunning view at our friends’ place, Vatra Apuseni, then loop back through Rimetea, the medieval-feeling village - another hidden gem for good food and good drinks.

We’re happy to recommend whatever fits the mood - adventure day or hammock day.

How do I book? +

Fill in the form on the booking page or message us on WhatsApp at +40731787226.

What should I bring with me? +

Good mountain footwear, preferably waterproof. Clothes in several layers - in the mountains, the weather can change several times in a single day. Maybe also a book, if none from our library catches your attention. And the willingness not to rush.
